Job summary

Egis Group in Dubai seeks an experienced Assistant Planning Engineer to manage planning and scheduling for bridge and infrastructure projects from the head office. The role requires visiting the site weekly and coordinating with project teams to ensure on-time delivery in line with client and authority requirements.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree with at least 3 years UAE planning experience, strong analytical abilities, and proficiency in Primavera P6 and the Microsoft Office

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in planning.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and infrastructure project workflows.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and ETC.
• Strong skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with construction processes and industry standards.
• Understanding of project scheduling techniques and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6 with KPI, full narrative reports, detailed resource and cost-loaded POWs.
• Preparing an extension of time; window analysis skills are mandatory.
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to gather and analyse data.
• Create and update project timelines, Gantt charts and other planning documents.
• Support resource allocation and optimisation for ongoing projects.
• Participate in progress meetings and contribute to status reports.
• Identify scheduling conflicts and propose solutions.
• Monitor milestones and deadlines to ensure timely completion.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes and methodologies.
• Stay updated on local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE.
• UAE National Only.
