Job summary

Ali & Sons Contracting LLC seeks a planning assistant to support project planning and management tasks. Responsibilities include preparing tender programmes, coordinating with the Project Planning Manager, and developing project measurement tools. Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of tender programmes according to the tender documents.
• Coordinate with the Project Planning Manager for detailed programmes compliance.
• Support project measurement tools such as S-curves, tabular reports, histograms.

Job description

· Assist in the preparation of tender programmes according to the requirements of the tender documents.

· Coordinate with the Project Planning Manager to prepare detailed programmes in compliance with contract requirements.

· Collaborate with the Project Planning Manager to calculate manpower requirements (trade-wise) based on defined productivity.

· Work with the Project Planning Manager to develop a weight system.

· Assist in loading manpower, major quantities, weightage, and costs onto the programme activities as needed.

· Support the Project Planning Manager in estimating project cash flow.

· Help prepare project measurement tools such as S-curves, tabular reports, histograms, and other KPIs.

· Ensure that QHSE requirements are integrated into the programmes.

· Coordinate with the Project Planning Manager to prepare internal programmes of work if required.

· Assist in issuing subcontractor programmes in coordination with procurement engineers.

· Support the preparation of weekly and monthly reports.

· Assist in preparing internal planning reports.

· Highlight critical/longest paths to the Planning Manager on a weekly basis before issuing reports.

· Identify and communicate areas of concern to the Planning Manager and Project Planning Manager weekly.

· Forecast potential problems and inform the Planning Manager and Project Manager to take corrective actions.

· Monitor manpower and equipment to ensure alignment with project/site conditions.

· Update project cash flow regularly.

· Coordinate with the Project Planning Manager to prepare planning-related correspondence with clients, engineers, sub-consultants, subcontractors, and other parties.

· Attend required meetings and audits.

· Prepare notices for extensions of time (EoT).

· Collaborate with the Project Planning Manager to prepare EoT claims.
