Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules
- Coordinate with project managers and team members to define project scope and objectives
- Monitor project progress and update schedules accordingly
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Prepare and present project reports and updates to stakeholders
- Assist in budgeting and resource allocation decisions
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and adherence to schedules
- Analyze project data to identify trends and improve future project planning
- Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Use project management software to track and report project timelines
- Develop contingency plans to address delays and disruptions
- Review and approve project plans developed by subcontractors
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is essential.
- 5+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling within the construction or engineering sectors is preferred.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools is a must.
- Certification as a Planning Engineer (e.g., PMI-SP or equivalent) is a strong advantage.
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects or major construction projects is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make informed decisions is essential.
- Detail-oriented personality with a proactive approach to problem-solving is highly valued.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed and adhere to health and safety regulations.
