Planning Engineer

We are looking for a detail-driven and experienced Planning Engineer to support project scheduling, progress tracking, and resource planning across our operations in the UAE. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing project timelines, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project
2. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to gather inputs and update progress
3. Monitor project timelines, milestones, and critical paths to ensure timely execution
4. Analyze project performance and generate regular progress reports and dashboards
5. Identify delays and propose mitigation strategies to keep projects on track
6. Integrate resource, procurement, and cost data into the project schedule
7. Support tender planning by preparing baseline schedules and methodology statements
8. Conduct regular site visits to validate progress and support planning accuracy
9. Ensure alignment of schedules with contract requirements and client expectations
10. Participate in project meetings and provide planning insights to support decision-making
11. Maintain documentation of planning processes, revisions, and historical project data

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
2. Minimum 4-6 years of experience as a Planning Engineer, preferably in the UAE or GCC
3. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project is essential
4. Strong understanding of project lifecycle, construction processes, and planning methodologies
5. Familiarity with cost control and resource management principles
6. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder interaction
8. Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously
9. Knowledge of UAE construction standards and regulatory frameworks is preferred
