Planning Engineer

Job Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Planning Engineer with expertise in interior fit-out projects to join our team. The role involves planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling all fit-out project activities, ensuring that project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed project schedules (Primavera P6/MS Project) for interior fit-out works.
• Monitor project progress and regularly update the master schedule.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement teams, and subcontractors to ensure timely execution of works.
• Track and report progress, delays, and risks against the project baseline.
• Identify critical path activities and implement mitigation strategies.
• Assist in the preparation of project reports, look-ahead schedules, and recovery plans as required.
• Analyze and evaluate subcontractor schedules for alignment with the master program.
• Monitor procurement schedules and material delivery timelines.
• Support the project team in claims preparation (EOT, delay analysis).
• Ensure that all planning and scheduling activities are conducted in line with company standards and client requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fit-out/interior works.
• Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office (especially Excel).
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and fit-out detailing.
• Familiar with project management methodologies and reporting systems.
• Knowledge of local regulations and construction standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP certification or similar project management credentials.
• Experience in high-end commercial or hospitality fit-out is a plus.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or BIM software is an advantage.
