Job summary

Locri Recruitment is seeking a Planning Engineer to join a leading multidisciplinary architecture and engineering consultancy in Dubai. The role focuses on project planning, scheduling, monitoring progress against programme and budget, and supporting the delivery of complex developments.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience on towers, high-rise buildings and hospitality projects, strong English, and proficiency with planning software. Dubai-based, GCC experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in project planning and scheduling.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Experience with towers, high-rise buildings and hotel/hospitality projects.
• Strong background in project planning, scheduling and management.
• Experience with EOT claims, progress monitoring and delay assessment.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in MS Office and planning/scheduling software.
• Experience within a large GCC consultancy is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project programmes, schedules and budgets in line with project requirements.
• Monitor and track project progress, identifying delays, risks and areas requiring corrective action.
• Support the preparation and assessment of Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
• Ensure projects are progressing in accordance with agreed programmes and budgets.
• Review project specifications and technical drawings and provide material and cost estimates.
• Prepare regular progress reports for management and project teams.
• Monitor existing processes and team performance, identifying areas for improvement.
• Coordinate and attend project and internal meetings as required.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Communicate effectively with managers, supervisors, contractors and wider project teams.
• Support the effective use and management of planning and scheduling software.
• Assist with maintaining efficient project schedules and supporting the delivery of multiple projects.

Planning Engineer

Salary: AED 18,000–24,000 per month

Our client is a leading multidisciplinary architecture and engineering consultancy with a strong presence across the GCC and an established portfolio of major developments across the region.

They are looking to appoint an experienced Planning Engineer to join their Dubai team. The successful candidate will contribute to project planning and scheduling, monitor progress against programme and budget, and support the successful delivery of complex projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience working on large-scale towers, high-rise buildings and hotel/hospitality projects, ideally within a major consultancy environment.

• Strong proficiency in MS Office and relevant planning/scheduling software.
• Previous experience within a large consultancy in the GCC is highly advantageous.
