Job description

Stantec is looking to recruit Planning and Control Engineer to join our team in the UAE.

The Planning and Control Engineer will be working on projects associated with building projects. This will involve undertaking investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration and construction monitoring.

Key accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • In this role, you will be responsible for developing and updating project schedules, collaborating closely on defining project scope and objectives. Your expertise in project planning will ensure that timelines are met efficiently.
  • You will monitor project costs, prepare financial forecasts, and identify potential risks to maintain budget control. Tracking project performance and preparing progress reports will allow you to communicate updates effectively to stakeholders.
  • Additionally, you'll focus on risk management by identifying potential issues and implementing mitigation strategies in collaboration with the project team. Facilitating communication between teams and stakeholders, participating in project meetings, and analyzing planning processes for continuous improvement will be key aspects of your responsibilities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

- Minimum [10] years of experience in project planning and control within the design and construction industry.

- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Professional certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) is a plus.

- Experience working on large-scale construction projects in the Middle East is preferred.

- Experience in healthcare projects is an advantage.
