Job description

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning the work to be executed in their respective area, primarily during weekly online and offline maintenance windows. The role also involves continuously improving maintenance plans and strategies, and seeking feedback to enhance planning quality.

Responsibilities include:

• Enabling safe and efficient execution of shutdown asset strategies and maintenance work through detailed job preparation.
• Establishing standard job plans for repetitive shutdown maintenance tasks to foster standardization.
• Communicating and implementing improvements in the work execution process.
• Managing Area/Disciple maintenance plans as the primary custodian.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Providing detailed job plans that ensure safe and efficient maintenance execution.
• Managing change processes for new materials required for jobs.
• Overseeing work notification and work order backlog by reviewing and grouping notifications, coordinating with production, and developing or copying work order plans.
• Creating purchase orders for components and building a library of job plans, updating them regularly.
• Forwarding ready-to-schedule job packages to the Scheduler and processing work orders to a planned state.
• Planning work orders based on priority, equipment criticality, statutory inspections, and maintenance types.
• Ensuring all planning functions are completed before assigning planned status, including operation steps, labor, components, documentation, and costs.
• Identifying opportunities for detailed scoping requiring technician and engineering input.
• Using knowledge within Mechanical and Electrical workshops for risk assessments.
• Suggesting site master data and documentation system changes and assisting with their implementation.
• Measuring performance through planning metrics and supporting long-term budget development.
• Implementing plant reliability practices emphasizing preventive and predictive maintenance.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

• Craft knowledge for accurate labor, material, and skills estimation.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• In-depth understanding of maintenance processes and work management systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

Preferred Professional Training

• SAP maintenance modules.

Professional Experience (Must haves)

Minimum 5 years of trade or engineering experience in a relevant industry.

Previous Experience/Exposure Recommendations

Key Performance Indicators
