Job summary

Majid Al Futtaim in Dubai seeks a Planner for MAF LifeStyle Merchandising to support Senior Planner and Planning Manager in analyzing sales trends, gross margin and inventory, coordinating with Buying and Store teams to optimize ranges across the region.

You will manage delivery, allocation and replenishment per planned ranges, assist with markdowns, monitor logistics costs and stock efficiency while supporting sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in business or finance.
• 2-4 years in a Planner role.
• Experience in Fashion Retail environment.
• Experience in OTB management and inventory optimization.
• Excellent to Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the right products and stock are available in the right quantities at the right place and time.
• Plan collection’s clearance and end-of-season markdown to achieve sell through in line with margins.
• Assist with overall markdown plans including promotions and re-pricing.
• Review and monitor logistics costs per country and flag adverse margin impacts.
• Monitor warehouse service levels and coordinate with Logistics on stock transfers.
• Support the Dare Today, Change Tomorrow sustainability strategy.
• Analyze customer profiles and trends to guide product/stock decisions.
• Maintain strong cross-department relationships and information flow.

JOB TITLE

ROLE SUMMARY

The Planner supports the Senior Planner & Planning Manager to effectively analyze multi-dimensional plans including sales trends, gross margin and inventory partnering with the Buying and Store teams to maximize retail profits through effective planning and trading of ranges throughout the region covered. The role controls delivery, allocation and replenishment activities in line with agreed range and allocation plans to identify and action opportunities for optimizing sales and stock holding.

ROLE PROFILE

• Accountable for the right products / stock to be available in the right quantities at the right place at the right time.
• Plan collection’s clearance and end of season markdown for achievement of sell through to be in line with the margin expectations of the business
• Assist with the overall markdown plans for the department including promotions like Gift with purchase, Multi-Buy Offers, re-pricing of product lines
• Review and monitor logistics costs per country and flag any adverse impacts on margins.
• Monitor Warehouse service levels and work with Logistics to track shipments and timely delivery of stock transfers.
• Contribute and support the business in achieving the Dare Today, Change Tomorrow sustainability strategy
• Track and understand customer profiles, trends and preferences to make sound product/stock decisions meeting customer expectations.
• Develop and maintain strong inter and intra departmental relationships for open and effective sharing of information and follow up actions.

REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate degree in a related field preferably business or finance.
• 2- 4 years in a Planner role.
• Experience in Fashion Retail environment is mandatory.
• Experience in OTB management, and inventory optimization.
• Excellent to Fluent English.
