Job summary

Ounass, a luxury fashion e-commerce platform in Dubai, seeks a commercially minded Junior Planner to join the Planning team. You will support development and execution of merchandise plans across your area of responsibility, using data and commercial insights to drive sales, margin, sell-through and inventory health.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Business, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in merchandise planning, ideally within fashion, luxury, retail or e-commerce.
  • Strong understanding of retail planning principles, including sales, margin, OTB, sell-through, stock turn, forecasting and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into actionable commercial insights.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of customer and product trends.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across Buying, Commercial and Finance teams.
  • A genuine interest in luxury fashion and e-commerce.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of seasonal and annual merchandise plans using historical performance, customer insights, market trends and commercial priorities.
  • Manage and monitor sales, gross margin, sell-through and inventory performance across your area of responsibility.
  • Develop and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial plans and forecasts.
  • Support OTB planning and budgeting, ensuring inventory investment is aligned with sales and financial targets.
  • Reforecast the business throughout the season based on performance, emerging trends and commercial opportunities.
  • Provide analysis and insights to support business budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Analyse sales, stock and sell-through performance to identify category, brand and product-level trends.
  • Partner with Buying and Commercial teams to develop assortment plans aligned with customer demand and business objectives.
  • Use customer, regional and historical data to identify growth and localisation opportunities.
  • Monitor replenishment and Never Out of Stock products, working with Buying to optimise availability.
  • Review markdown and promotional opportunities and provide recommendations based on performance.
  • Monitor inventory health, including stock turn, ageing and terminal stock, and recommend actions where required.
  • Monitor in-season performance across categories, brands, products and key campaigns.
  • Adjust forecasts as trading trends evolve and identify opportunities to maximise sales and gross margin.
  • Support the development of OTB strategies to capture emerging commercial opportunities.
  • Identify trading risks and opportunities and communicate clear recommendations to Planning and Buying leadership.
  • Partner with Buying teams to resolve supplier, brand and product-related challenges.
  • Ensure inventory levels remain aligned with agreed financial and stock targets.
  • Build strong partnerships across Buying, Commercial, Merchandising, Finance, Operations, Logistics and other key teams.
  • Translate data into clear commercial insights and recommendations that support decision-making.
  • Support and guide Assistant and Associate Planners, sharing knowledge and helping develop their planning capabilities.

We are looking for a commercially minded and analytical Junior Planner to join our Planning team at Ounass.

In this role, you will support the development and execution of merchandise plans across your area of responsibility, using data and commercial insights to drive sales, margin, sell-through and healthy inventory levels.

Working closely with Buying, Commercial, Merchandising and Finance, you will be involved across the full planning cycle – from seasonal and financial planning through to forecasting, allocation and in-season trading.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong retail planning experience who enjoys working with data, understands product and customer trends, and wants to develop their career within luxury e-commerce.

What You’ll Be Doing
Merchandise & Financial Planning
  • Support the development of seasonal and annual merchandise plans using historical performance, customer insights, market trends and commercial priorities.
