Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced Piping Layout Engineer as part of our Engineering team within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Due to the nature of the projects and client expectations, the position will be based full-time at our Engineering Center in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Possess working knowledge of piping deliverables such as PMS, Materials datasheets, Piping Layouts, Plot Plans, GADs, Isometrics
• Ensure piping scope and deliverables are completed on time and within budget, meeting safety and quality standards
• Provide expertise in pipe stress engineering, standards application, and client specifications
• Perform pipe layout analyses and support piping design and supports
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards
• Coordinate with disciplines to develop project deliverables and incorporate inputs
• Review client data and piping isometrics for stress considerations
• Report weekly on work status, issues, and needs
• Report to the Lead Piping Engineer and liaise as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in engineering
• Minimum 5 years' experience in oil and gas industry
• Strong knowledge of Caesar II stress analysis software
• Familiarity with codes, standards, and statutory documentation
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines to meet deadlines and design targets
