Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced Piping Layout Engineer as part of our Engineering team within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Due to the nature of the projects and client expectations, the position will be based full time at our Engineering Center in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in engineering
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Strong knowledge of Caesar II stress analysis software
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and statutory documentation
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines to meet deadlines and design targets
  • Experience with piping deliverables such as PMS, materials datasheets, piping layouts, plot plans, GADs, isometrics
  • Ensure piping scope and deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and meet safety and quality standards
  • Provide technical expertise in pipe stress engineering and compliance with standards
  • Perform pipe layout analyses and support piping design and supports
  • Ensure piping compliance with project specifications and standards
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and incorporate their input
  • Review client data and project piping isometrics for stress considerations
  • Report weekly on work status, issues, and needs
  • Report to the Lead Piping Engineer
