We are looking for a skilled Piping Material Engineer to join our team for a key EPC project with ADNOC in the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in piping materials selection, procurement, and specification development for large-scale complex oil and gas projects. The Piping Material Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the proper selection and management of materials for piping systems, ensuring compliance with ADNOC and industry standards, and supporting the project throughout its lifecycle.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Ensure the correct selection of piping materials based on process conditions, project specifications, and applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ASTM, ANSI, API, and ADNOC standards).
2. Develop and review piping material specifications (PMS) for various piping systems and ensure their compliance with project requirements.
3. Perform material class development and manage material classification for different types of piping systems.
4. Work closely with procurement teams to specify and procure piping materials, ensuring alignment with project schedules and budgets.
5. Review vendor submittals, data sheets, and material certifications for compliance with project specifications and standards.
6. Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project milestones and resolve any material-related issues during procurement.
7. Coordinate with Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) teams to ensure proper material handling, testing, and certification of materials.
8. Conduct material verification to ensure compliance with project and ADNOC quality requirements.
9. Support the inspection and testing of materials during manufacturing and delivery to ensure compliance with material specifications.
10. Collaborate with design, piping stress analysis, and construction teams to ensure materials meet design, fabrication, and installation requirements.
11. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to resolve material-related issues during design, fabrication, and construction stages.
12. Participate in project meetings and provide expert advice on materials selection and usage.
13. Prepare technical reports, material requisitions, and purchase orders for piping materials.
14. Maintain accurate documentation of all material approvals, certifications, and tracking information.
15. Provide ongoing technical support for all piping material-related queries throughout the project lifecycle.
16. Ensure all piping materials are selected in compliance with ADNOC's specific material codes as well as international industry standards and codes.
17. Monitor compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations related to material selection and usage.
18. Assist in the preparation of technical evaluations and reports for compliance audits and inspections.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in piping material engineering within the Oil & Gas industry, focusing on EPC projects.
3. Proven experience working on ADNOC projects is highly preferred.
4. Strong experience in material selection, procurement, and specifications development for piping systems according to project requirements and codes.
5. In-depth knowledge of piping materials standards and specifications (e.g., ASME, API, ASTM, ADNOC) for Oil & Gas projects.
6. Familiarity with software tools such as MS Office, SAP, or similar material management systems.
7. Proficient in preparing and reviewing Piping Material Specifications (PMS), Material Requisitions (MR), and Material Take-Offs (MTO).
8. Strong knowledge of piping materials, valves, fittings, and piping components used in upstream oil and gas production facilities.
9. Familiarity with stress analysis, material compatibility, and industry codes and standards.
10. Knowledge of material handling and logistics processes within EPC projects.
11. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
13. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure to meet project deadlines.
14. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
