Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with more than 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry.
Piping Engineer Responsibilities:
Experience in the execution of brownfield projects in upstream facilities.
Oversee piping activities, including job scope preparation, technical bid evaluation, engineering and design activities, material selection, fabrication, installation, modification, and testing of piping systems to ensure they meet safety, quality, and project requirements.
Coordinate with EPC consultants and contractor personnel, supervising and coordinating with the site personnel.
Stationed at Abu Dhabi office for engineering support, with frequent site visits expected.
Assist the Senior Piping Engineer in implementing project plans and schedules.
Supervise and coordinate project execution efficiently and effectively.
Execute related project activities within approved budgetary limits and monitor actual expenditure against budgets.
Prepare additional budget proposals for non-budgeted equipment/material requirements.
Follow relevant project procedures and instructions to ensure controlled and consistent work.
Implement and regularly review policies, procedures, and systems for best practices and operational performance improvement.
Communicate company policies and procedures to contractors.
Plan and coordinate work activities within the team, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion.
Coordinate engineering and design activities as per applicable standards and guidelines.
Experience in Smartplant-3D, CEASAR, and Navis work review is an added advantage.
Responsible for 3D-model ownership despite multiple discipline objects being modeled.
Prepare/review piping documents and deliverables for ADOC unified piping documents and PI-TC projects.
Coordinate with interdisciplinary engineers and review interface documents in compliance with standard practices.
Accountable for project scope preparation and approval, technical bid evaluation, material requisition and selection review, 3D-model reviews, and closeout.
Conduct mechanical completion walkthroughs and periodic inspections.
