Job description

We are seeking an experienced Pipeline Engineer to join our team for a detailed engineering phase of an onshore oil and gas project. The successful candidate will work on designing, analyzing, and optimizing pipeline systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform detailed engineering for onshore pipeline systems, including routing, stress analysis, and material selection.
  • Develop pipeline design deliverables such as alignment sheets, pipeline isometrics, and piping class specifications.
  • Conduct hydraulic and flow assurance studies to ensure optimal pipeline performance.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards (e.g., ASME, API), and project specifications.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (civil, mechanical, process) to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Review vendor documents, technical drawings, and ensure compatibility with project requirements.
  • Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, and construction stages.
  • Conduct risk assessments and participate in HAZID/HAZOP reviews to ensure safety in pipeline designs.
  • Monitor and address technical issues promptly to minimize project delays.
  • Prepare and review project documentation, including technical reports and procedures.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in pipeline engineering for large-scale onshore oil and gas projects.
  • Strong knowledge of detailed engineering processes and pipeline design tools such as CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, API 5L).
  • Experience with pipeline construction, materials, and stress analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work in a team-oriented environment.
