A leading company in the maritime sector seeks a Pipe Department Supervisor for their shipyard operations. Key Responsibilities
* Supervise daily pipe department operations to ensure compliance with procedures and safety standards
* Monitor project programs, review schedules, and initiate corrective actions to meet contractual timelines
* Innovate work techniques and adopt new technologies in pipe fabrication and welding
* Act as the Department Manager during absences when delegated
* Set daily work priorities and coordinate with ship repair managers and other trades
* Inspect workshops and shipboard sites to ensure optimal resource utilization
* Approve material requisitions and raise occurrence reports for rejected work
* Halt operations when quality standards are not met
Job Requirements
Education:
* Graduate degree in Engineering
Experience:
* Minimum 10 years in shipyard or offshore piping roles
Skills:
* Strong knowledge of pipe fabrication and welding processes
* Familiar with ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 standards
* Excellent leadership, coordination, and inspection skills
* Capable of managing documentation and improving departmental workflow
