Job description

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage flight test programs for UAVs, from planning and execution to data analysis and reporting.
• Design and develop flight test plans, including test objectives, procedures and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including design engineers, software developers and technicians to ensure successful test execution.
• Conduct pre-flight inspections, system checks and troubleshooting to ensure UAV readiness for testing.
• Perform flight tests in various environments and conditions to validate performance, stability, and safety of UAV systems.
• Analyze flight test data, identify trends, anomalies and areas for improvement and provide recommendations for design enhancements.
• Document test results, findings, and recommendations in detailed reports engineering team.
• Collaborate with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with aviation regulations and standards.
• Mentor and provide guidance to customers, junior engineers and technicians involved in flight testing activities.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 1 years of experience in flight testing with UAVs.
• Experience with ground station software such as Mission planner, QGround control etc.
• Familiarity with UAV systems, including autopilots, sensors, communication systems and payloads.
• Experience with flight test instrumentation, LOG analysis tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
