Key Responsibilities

• Pick customer orders from supermarket shelves and designated putaway areas using the approved scanning process.
• Scan each item individually to verify that the correct products are selected.
• Perform quality control checks on all picked items before completing order preparation.
• Ensure that selected products comply with company expiry date policies.
• Identify out-of-stock (OOS) products and confirm their availability with the relevant section in charge.
• Communicate picking errors and product quality concerns to the appropriate team members to support corrective action.
• Maintain an organized putaway area and ensure that unused trolleys and crates are returned to designated storage locations.
• Report operational issues to the line manager, including incorrect product images, inaccurate product locations, and picking system problems.
• Check that putaway locations and storage crates have readable and scannable barcodes.
• Follow established picking procedures to maintain order completeness, accuracy, and productivity.
• Support consistent product handling standards throughout the order preparation process.

Qualifications and Experience

• High School qualification or Diploma.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in ecommerce operations.
• Previous experience in online retail operations is an advantage.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Understanding of product quality control checks.
• Familiarity with retail products and their basic handling requirements.
• Ability to follow barcode scanning procedures and established order picking instructions.
• Attention to detail when checking products, quantities, and expiry dates.

Order Picking and Quality Standards
