Job summary

Upswing offers online tutoring to empower students, providing sessions via a virtual classroom with video, audio, chat, and a whiteboard from anywhere. The tutor will use the Socratic method to foster independence and critical thinking while guiding learners in Physical Therapy topics.

Ideal candidates have a PT degree or equivalent experience, exceptional communication skills, and a reliable home setup for 2–5 hours of weekly tutoring during fall and spring semesters.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge in Physical Therapy (undergraduate degree, graduate degree, or professional experience).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Access to reliable internet and a quiet, distraction-free environment.
• Reliable laptop/desktop with camera and microphone.

Responsibilities

• Provide online tutoring sessions via a virtual classroom using video, audio, chat, and a whiteboard


• Utilize the Socratic method to foster student independence and critical thinking skills


• Support students in achieving their educational goals through subject matter expertise

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge in Physical Therapy from an undergraduate degree, graduate degree, or professional experience


• Access to reliable, high-speed internet and a quiet, distraction-free environment


• Reliable laptop or desktop with working camera and microphone


• Ability to tutor a minimum of 2-5 hours per week during fall and spring semesters


• Ability to receive payments via PayPal

Preferred Qualifications
