Job summary

M42 Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to support laboratory operations in the UAE. You will perform venipuncture, ensure high-quality specimen collection, and uphold safety and regulatory standards across patient groups from pediatric to geriatric.

The role requires a phlebotomy certification and 1+ year post-qualification experience, plus BLS and DHA/DOH license eligibility. UAE driving license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Phlebotomy certification program and/or a minimum 6-month program in Medical Laboratory Sciences.
• Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience as a Phlebotomist.
• Valid DOH or DHA license as a Phlebotomist, or eligibility for the relevant license.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, specimen collection and handling, laboratory safety, and regulatory requirements.
• UAE driving license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and blood collection for pediatric, adult, pregnant, and geriatric patients.
• Verify patient information and test requests and select appropriate collection equipment and techniques.
• Collect, label, process, store, and prepare blood, urine, and other specimens accurately and safely.
• Ensure correct sample quality and quantity while following infection control and safety procedures.
• Prioritize and manage STAT, scheduled, and outpatient specimen collection requests.
• Communicate with patients, explain collection procedures, and provide guidance on specimen collection requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and report significant issues to the healthcare team.
• Maintain supplies and support compliance with regulatory, accreditation, quality, and safety standards.
