Job Description
- Dispense medications to outpatient/inpatient as per prescription under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Review and interpret each prescription/medication order before dispensing to ensure correctness of strength, dose instructions, and dosage form.
- Provide appropriate patient information concerning the dispensed medications.
- Clarify any prescription abnormalities with the prescribing physician. Unresolved issues should be referred to the pharmacy manager.
- Repackage, label, and document medications issued to other departments.
- Respond to drug-related inquiries from doctors, nurses, and customers. Unanswered inquiries should be referred to the senior pharmacist.
- Check the availability and expiry of vitamins and other food supplements (both in display and stock).
- Organize and display medicines on shelves.
- Perform specialty pharmacy activities as delegated and trained.
- Carry out other duties as directed by the Pharmacy Manager.
- Adhere to international guidelines, DHA regulations, and Joint Commission International norms in patient treatment and professional duties.

Qualifications
- Education and training: Assistant Pharmacists must possess a Diploma in Pharmacy from an accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- At least two (2) years of experience in a hospital as an assistant pharmacist.
- Thorough knowledge of UAE laws, company policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the work area.
- DHA license.
- Good command of English. Arabic is desirable but not essential.
