Job summary

Job description

• Review and execute physician s prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legality.
• Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster.
• Maintain full control over delivering, stocking and labeling medicine and other products and monitor their condition to prevent expiring or deterioration.
• Listen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and issues and offer information and advice.
• Provide assistance to other medical services such as injections, blood pressure/temperature measurements etc.
• Prepare medicine when appropriate using correct dosages and material for each individual patient.
• Keep records of patient history and of all activities regarding heavy medication.
• Keep abreast of advancements in medicine by attending conferences and seminars and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
• Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations and procedures.

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor s Degree in pharmacy
• Registered as a Pharmacist with DHA

Experience

• Minimum 2-3 years experience in similar field desired.

Training & Knowledge

• Awareness and understanding of KCH policies and KCH initiatives.
• Resuscitation Certificate as per the specialty & Demonstrable ongoing and active CPD
• Good Computer knowledge.
• Highly self-motivated Possesses high internal work standards, sets themselves and helps others to set attainable goals; wants to do things better, to improve, to be more effective and efficient; measure progress against target
• Flexibility Able to adapt to ensure achievement of objectives within constantly changing situations and environments
• Leadership and communication skills commensurate with leading teams, improving practice, driving continuous professional development, and working effectively as part of a multi-professional / multi- agency team.
• Problem solving skills able to respond to unexpected issues and provide first line response and to identify appropriate sources of secondary support.
• Ability to maintain professional and personal credibility across all staff groups
