- Review and execute physician s prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legality.
- Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster.
- Maintain full control over delivering, stocking and labeling medicine and other products and monitor their condition to prevent expiring or deterioration.
- Listen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and issues and offer information and advice.
- Provide assistance to other medical services such as injections, blood pressure/temperature measurements etc.
- Prepare medicine when appropriate using correct dosages and material for each individual patient.
- Keep records of patient history and of all activities regarding heavy medication.
- Keep abreast of advancements in medicine by attending conferences and seminars and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
- Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations and procedures.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor s Degree in pharmacy
- Registered as a Pharmacist with DHA
Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in similar field desired.
Training & Knowledge
- Awareness and understanding of KCH policies and KCH initiatives.
- Resuscitation Certificate as per the specialty & Demonstrable ongoing and active CPD
- Good Computer knowledge.
- Highly self-motivated Possesses high internal work standards, sets themselves and helps others to set attainable goals; wants to do things better, to improve, to be more effective and efficient; measure progress against target
- Flexibility Able to adapt to ensure achievement of objectives within constantly changing situations and environments
- Leadership and communication skills commensurate with leading teams, improving practice, driving continuous professional development, and working effectively as part of a multi-professional / multi- agency team.
- Problem solving skills able to respond to unexpected issues and provide first line response and to identify appropriate sources of secondary support.
- Ability to maintain professional and personal credibility across all staff groups
- Multi-tasks well in a fast-paced workplace.
