Job Description

We are seeking a People Manager to support the MEMAC Ogilvy People Team. This role primarily supports the Chief People Officer and other key members of the MENA leadership team, with flexibility to move between business areas as needed.

Memac Ogilvy is a leading creative network in MENA, part of the WPP & Ogilvy global network, with a strong presence in the UAE, GCC, and North Africa. It is the only fully integrated communications network offering Growth & Innovation, Advertising & Content, PR & Influence, Experience & Health under one P&L and leadership. The agency is highly awarded, with around 500 staff members.

The People Manager will be part of a dynamic support team, collaborating with the Chief People Officer MENA, HR Business Partners in the UAE, and the wider MENA admin teams. The ideal candidate will be experienced, confident, highly organized, and possess strong business acumen, with the ability to interact effectively across diverse cultures and time zones. They should embody the agency's values of diversity, inclusion, and a people-first culture.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
  2. Manage employee relations, addressing demands and grievances.
  3. Oversee HRIS system management and implementation in MENA.
  4. Handle employee induction and exit processes.
  5. Support talent development, engagement, and retention.
  6. Develop HR systems, tactics, and procedures.
  7. Foster a positive work environment.
  8. Manage performance appraisal systems to drive high performance.
  9. Maintain pay and benefits programs.
  10. Assess and monitor training needs and programs.
  11. Provide HR metrics and reports to management for decision-making.
  12. Ensure legal compliance in HR practices.
  13. Provide administrative support to senior leadership.
  14. Manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  15. Lead special projects as needed.
  16. Maintain organized records and reports.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Proven experience as HR Manager or similar role.
  • People-oriented and results-driven.
  • Experience with HR metrics and systems.
  • Knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Strong resilience, work ethic, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Flexibility to work across time zones and tasks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and media tools.
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Experience in advertising/media or large organizations is a plus.
