Job summary

SearchPlus HR is partnering with a leading government healthcare facility in the UAE to recruit a Pediatric Surgeon.

You will provide specialized surgical care for newborns through adolescents, manage congenital and pediatric conditions, and lead pediatric emergencies within a multidisciplinary team.

Candidates should hold MBBS/MD and a recognized postgraduate qualification in Pediatric Surgery; Western-qualified boards are preferred; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD degree.
• Postgraduate qualification in Pediatric Surgery.
• Western qualifications (UK CCT/CCST, American/Canadian/Australian/South African boards) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and surgically manage congenital and pediatric conditions.
• Perform pediatric surgeries according to specialty and scope.
• Manage pediatric surgical emergencies and coordinate urgent interventions.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative care and long-term follow-up.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, neonatologists, anesthesiologists and ICU teams.
• Explain treatments, risks and recovery to families.
• Monitor outcomes and manage postoperative complications.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure infection control and hospital protocols.
• Participate in audits, teaching and CME.
