Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Consultant Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The role involves diagnosing and surgically treating congenital and acquired heart conditions in pediatric patients, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform complex cardiac surgeries on infants and children, including congenital defect repairs and valve procedures
  • Conduct thorough pre-operative evaluations and post-operative follow-ups
  • Collaborate with pediatric cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to develop individualized treatment plans
  • Lead ward rounds and multidisciplinary case discussions
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with hospital protocols
  • Participate in on-call rotations, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Mentor junior medical staff and contribute to clinical education initiatives
  • Engage in clinical research and continuous medical education (CME) activities
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality improvement, and patient-centered care
Qualifications
  • Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution
  • Completion of residency in General Surgery and fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery
  • Minimum 5 years of post-fellowship experience in pediatric cardiac procedures
  • HAAD / DOH license or eligibility to practice in the UAE
  • Tier 1 board certification preferred
  • Arabic-speaking or Western-trained candidates highly desirable
