Job summary

EDGE Group is seeking a Production Engineer II for PCB assembly operations in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on defining manufacturing processes, improving quality, and reducing cost and waste on the production line.

You will lead tooling, fixture design, and automation, collaborating with DFAM for new products and managing data-pack discrepancies. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in production engineering within defence and a bachelor’s degree, with fluent English.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Production Engineer, preferably in the Defence Sector.
• Bachelor’s Engineering Degree; Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the industrialization process, including tooling, fixture design, and automation, to ensure a smooth transition from prototype to mass production.
• Cooperate with DFAM for New Products; identify and manage discrepancies between engineering and manufacturing data packs.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis to evaluate new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
• Participate in the Material Review Board (MRB); communicate production issues to relevant departments.
• Coordinate and implement Engineering Changes on the shop floor.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and drive continuous improvement to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
• Drive objectives to achieve production KPIs (Safety / Quality / Delivery / Cost).
• Identify efficiency issues and implement improvements.
• Stay informed of trends in electronics manufacturing and production engineering.
