Job summary

Deel in Dubai is seeking a hands-on operations leader to run the Deel Local Payroll migration program, track progress, and report to leadership. You will work with product, engineering, compliance and operations to fix blockers, map payroll data, and drive automation.

About 30% of your time goes to special projects—spotting patterns and enabling AI-based solutions. The role requires 5+ years of experience in fast-paced operations, experience with data reconciliation, mentoring teams, and KPI

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in operations in a fast-paced Tech/FinTech startup environment.
• Ability to leverage AI and automation tools to improve operational workflows and processes.
• Experience with data mapping and reconciliation across systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor small to mid-sized teams.
• Strong problem-solving, KPI-focused, and analytics skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operational workflows and identify efficiency improvements.
• Support automation initiatives to reduce manual processes and improve accuracy.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline tools and processes for internal teams and customers.
• Ensure adherence to controls, compliance requirements, and risk management.
• Contribute to fraud prevention and regulatory alignment efforts.
• Monitor performance metrics and elevate risks or gaps to leadership.
• Drive customer-focused process improvements to improve turnaround times and escalation handling.
• Expand self-service options to reduce manual support.
• Implement regular feedback loops to inform continuous improvement.
• Coordinate readiness for new product or market launches with stakeholders.
• Assist with go-to-market initiatives by removing bottlenecks.
• Track and report outcomes with insights and leadership.
• Execute projects and strategic initiatives with senior leaders.
