What you'll do:

  1. Ensure accurate and timely execution of payroll in your region and in other trained countries.
  2. Own all critical local payroll and HR processes, including setting up involuntary deductions and supporting onboarding and offboarding of employees in your designated location.
  3. Prepare and reconcile internal payroll reports, ensuring compliance with local tax authorities.
  4. Prepare schedules to collect payroll expenses from various sources and reconcile collections to expenses.
  5. Answer complex payroll and HR-related questions from employees and clients in your designated location.
  6. Schedule payroll expenses collections and reconcile collections to expenses.
  7. Assess and improve processes and procedures during rapid growth, ensuring compliance.
  8. Stay informed of relevant local regulatory and policy changes, communicating and establishing key updates across teams.
  9. Work cross-functionally to provide expertise on local payroll and HR matters.
  10. Evaluate and select relevant software for running payroll, incorporating Deel product technology requirements.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Strong knowledge of local regulations and policies related to payroll.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines accurately and timely.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with clients and coordinate across teams.
  • Interpersonal skills to communicate complex issues clearly to employees.
  • Advanced knowledge of local payroll software solutions.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong proficiency in English.
