Overview

At GAL, we’re looking for a Payroll Accountant to join our Finance Operations team. In this role, you’ll ensure our people are paid accurately and on time, pensions and benefits are processed smoothly, and financial reports are prepared to the highest standard. Your work will keep both employees and stakeholders confident in the financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

• Prepare payroll reports and reconcile transactions between the general ledger and HR.
• Initiate and process monthly payroll payments.
• Record manual accruals for gratuity, leave, air tickets, and other payroll-related provisions.
• Verify and process employee requests such as end-of-service benefits, housing advances, salary advances, and other expenses.
• Prepare monthly “Other Deductions” reports for HR Payroll.
• Reconcile employee pension data from HR Payroll and EOS, and ensure timely payments to the pension fund.
• Prepare cheques and bank transfers for employee-related requests.
• Generate weekly non-payroll allowances reports and initiate payments.

Qualifications

An Absolute Must Have:

• Proven experience in Big Four
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Public / Private Accounting
• Experience of interacting with external auditors and other stakeholders
• Based in UAE
