Overview

Senior Test Engineer for Banking Project

Responsibilities

• Prepare and validate functional test cases and support UAT with business users.
• Review business requirements and functional specifications for ACH, DMS, and WPS modules.

• Design, develop, and execute detailed functional, regression, and integration test cases.
• Lead end-to-end testing efforts covering client ecosystem interfaces, payment file formats, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform defect tracking, root cause analysis, and drive closure with Development teams.
• Participate in automation strategy (if applicable) for repetitive test cases.
• Liaise with business teams during UAT and support production verification.

Essential skills

• Strong domain knowledge of Kuwait’s National Payment Systems, including CBK guidelines.
• ACH (Automated Clearing House): Clearing cycles, file formats, settlement process.
• Dispute Management System (DMS): Case management, resolution workflows.
• Wage Protection System (WPS): Salary file validations, reporting, compliance rules.
• Familiarity with ISO20022 / KNPS file formats and messaging standards.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with business and technical stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of payment system regulatory compliance in Kuwait.

Desired skills

• Experience working with Central Bank-led projects in the GCC region.
• Knowledge of reconciliation and settlement processes.
• Familiarity with API-based integrations within payment systems
