Requirements: Relevant certifications in payment systems, MT, MX, CROSS BORDER PAYMENTS, SWIFT, or international payments are a plus. TOGAF Certification is preferred.

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Payment Architect to lead the transition from MT to MX messaging formats within our payment systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in payment architecture, SWIFT messaging standards, and a deep understanding of financial services.

Responsibilities

1. Lead Transition: Oversee the migration from MT to MX messaging formats, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to payment operations.
2. Architecture Design: Develop and implement robust payment architecture strategies that support the new MX messaging standards.
3. System Integration: Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate MX messaging into existing systems, ensuring compatibility and efficiency. Responsible, along with the development team and vendors, for identifying design and development tools for effective delivery of integration tasks.
4. Compliance and Standards: Ensure all payment systems comply with SWIFT standards and regulatory requirements.
5. Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance to development teams, ensuring best practices in payment processing and messaging. Responsible for technical vendor evaluation and RFPs.
6. Performance Optimization: Optimize payment processing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
7. Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive documentation and provide training to stakeholders on the new MX messaging standards and processes.
8. Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to communicate progress, challenges, and solutions related to the transition. Demonstrate the ability to go the extra mile to ensure project success.
