Job description

We are hiring! Our client is seeking an experienced Payables Accountant looking to join a prestigious international law firm in the UAE. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a top-tier law firm known for its global presence and commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
  • Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for accuracy and adherence to company policies.
  • Prepare and process payments to vendors and suppliers in accordance with established procedures.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records including contact information and payment terms.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve payment-related inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities including accruals and reconciliations.
  • Contribute to process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the accounts payable function.
  • Assist with other accounting tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably within a law firm or legal practice.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Familiarity with UAE accounting standards and practices is preferred.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
