Job description

Responsible for ensuring appropriate and accurate scheduling of all patients availing services at the facility. Using properly the facility's registration system; ensuring all insurance benefits, eligibility, pre-certification, and/or authorizations meet payers' protocol. Generating, monitoring, and reviewing daily cash receipts, registration reports, and patient collections.

  1. Handle routine patient inquiries related to the admission process and insurance verification.
  2. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
Experience

Required: 2-4 years of relevant experience

Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any relevant field

Additional Responsibilities
  • Communicate and interact professionally with patients and families, considering cultural diversity.
  • Ensure adequate staffing for reception and call center functions, distributing work to meet operational priorities.
  • Implement accurate registration, billing, and insurance processes by patient access representatives.
  • Assist in verifying insurance eligibility as required.
  • Maintain data accuracy in HIS with required documents.
  • Monitor service availability and identify operational improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain professional relationships with other departments.
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives, applying relevant tools and techniques.
  • Handle patient and family complaints and inquiries.
  • Work different shift duties to cover the department 24/7.
