Job summary

Avanta Works in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join our kitchen team. You will create and bake a variety of desserts, pastries, and breads, with a focus on flavor, texture, and presentation.

You will lead pastry production, train junior staff, manage inventory, and collaborate with the culinary team to develop new offerings. The role requires creativity, time management, teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Creativity in designing visually appealing desserts that also taste delicious.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent time-management skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Leadership skills to train new staff members on pastry techniques.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of desserts, pastries, and breads according to recipes or instructions.
• Decorate and present desserts in an attractive manner.
