Overview
As a Language (Arabic & French) faculty member for the BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) program, your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality instruction and facilitate learning experiences for undergraduate students pursuing their BBA degrees. You will contribute to the development and delivery of the curriculum, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive education in business fundamentals. This position requires expertise in Language (Arabic & French), strong communication skills, and a passion for teaching and mentoring students.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the program director and faculty members to develop and update the BBA curriculum. Identify relevant and current topics, case studies, and resources to enhance the program's content. Ensure alignment of course objectives with program goals and industry standards.
- Instruction and Delivery: Deliver engaging and interactive lectures, presentations, and workshops on Languages (Arabic & French). Utilize effective teaching methodologies, including active learning strategies and technology integration. Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment to encourage student participation and critical thinking. Assess student performance through examinations, assignments, projects, and presentations.
- Student Support and Mentoring: Provide academic guidance and mentoring to BBA students, including advising on course selection and career development. Offer constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement to students to enhance their learning experience. Facilitate discussions, group work, and projects to encourage collaboration and teamwork among students.
- Research and Professional Development: Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publications, and presentations in relevant fields. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements to integrate them into teaching materials. Attend conferences, workshops, and seminars to enhance teaching skills and subject matter expertise.
- Service and Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall growth and success of the BBA program. Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other activities as required. Engage in community outreach and networking opportunities to promote the program and establish industry connections.
Qualifications
- A doctoral degree in a related discipline (e.g., Languages (Arabic & French)) is preferred.
- Proven teaching experience, preferably in a higher education institution or related field.
- Strong knowledge and expertise in Languages, including Arabic, French.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver innovative and interactive teaching methodologies.
- Commitment to student success, academic integrity, and fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
- Active engagement in research and scholarship, with a record of publications and/or conference presentations (preferred).
- Proficiency in using educational technologies and online learning platforms.
- Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate diverse student backgrounds and learning styles.
