Job summary

Kingston Stanley is supporting a leading international, sector-focused law firm seeking an established Partner to strengthen its Middle East practice.

This is a strategic growth appointment for an entrepreneurial Partner with a strong regional client base and a significant portable book of business. The successful candidate will lead and grow their practice while collaborating with colleagues across the firm’s international network.

Qualifications

  • Currently operating at Partner or Managing Partner level.
  • Established Middle East client relationships and market credibility.
  • Approximately £3-4 million in annual portable revenue, with the majority expected to transfer.
  • Recognised expertise in at least one relevant sector or practice area.
  • Strong business development, client origination and practice leadership experience.
  • Collaborative, entrepreneurial and internationally minded approach.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a sustainable Middle East practice.
  • Originate new business and expand existing client relationships.
  • Advise on complex regional and cross-border matters.
  • Develop and deliver a strategic business plan for the practice.
  • Collaborate with Partners across the firm’s global network.
  • Lead, mentor and develop lawyers within the team.
  • Contribute to the firm’s broader Middle East growth strategy.

Areas of interest

The firm will consider contentious, transactional, commercial and regulatory Partners across:

  • Aviation and aerospace
  • Shipping and maritime
  • Insurance and reinsurance
  • Sports
  • Construction
  • Commodities
  • Corporate and commercial

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a sustainable Middle East practice.
  • Originate new business and expand existing client relationships.
  • Advise on complex regional and cross-border matters.
  • Develop and deliver a strategic business plan for the practice.
  • Collaborate with Partners across the firm’s global network.
  • Lead, mentor and develop lawyers within the team.

Candidate requirements

  • Collaborative, entrepreneurial and internationally minded approach.

The firm is open to a wider team move where appropriate. The location will be determined by the successful candidate’s preference and where the majority of their clients are based, with potential options across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
