Job summary

We are seeking qualified and experienced Indian nationals to join our team as part-time librarians in Dubai, UAE. As a librarian, you will be responsible for managing our library collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and promoting library resources and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the library, including cataloging, shelving and organizing materials, and maintaining an accurate inventory of resources.
• Assist patrons with locating materials, using library databases for research, and providing guidance on proper citation formats.
• Promote library resources and services through outreach efforts such as creating displays, giving presentations, or hosting events.
• Monitor library budget and make recommendations for new purchases or resource subscriptions based on patron needs.
• Train new staff members on library procedures and systems.
• Collaborate with other departments or organizations to develop partnerships or programs that support the mission of the library.
• Stay updated on current trends in librarianship through professional development opportunities such as attending conferences or workshops.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field.

Working Conditions:
