Job summary

JLL in Dubai is seeking a proactive Paralegal to support lawyers by drafting low-level legal documents, organizing case files, and managing deadlines for filings. You will prepare case summaries and handle a range of administrative tasks within the law department while supporting the wider legal team.

The ideal candidate holds an associates or bachelor's in paralegal studies, with 3–4 years in a law firm or corporate setting, strong research and writing skills, and fluency in English and Arabic.

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Paralegal Studies or related field.
  • Paralegal certification preferred.
  • 3-4 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with legal research tools such as LexisNexis.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting low-level legal documents, letters, and contracts under supervision.
  • Manage and update corporate and legal documentation and filings.
  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic files.
  • Undertake legal research and track changes in laws, regulations and procedures.
  • Assist in preparing project files and liaise with global legal teams on data collection initiatives.
  • Process invoices for legal team support and provide administrative support.
  • Liaise with external counsel, PR officers and other stakeholders on tasks.
  • Support legal project management by tracking deadlines and coordinating with team members.
  • Manage the team's calendar and assist with appointments.

Role

A paralegal assists lawyers by conducting legal research drafting documents and organizing case files. You will assist help in managing deadlines for filing legal paperwork. You will prepare summaries of cases and handle various administrative tasks in the law department as while as support the wider team.

What this job involves
  • Assist legal team with drafting of low-level legal documents letters contracts under supervision proof-reading and creating deviation tables to the contracts.
  • Manage and update corporate and legal documentation charts databases do necessary filings were necessary;
  • Organize and maintain files both physical and electronic;
  • Undertake legal research and track updates on changes in relevant laws regulations and court procedures to inform the legal team of any applicable developments;
  • Assist in preparing project files presentations liaise with EMEA/Global legal team where necessary on data/information collection projects/initiatives.
  • Administrate processing of invoices for legal team support legal team on wide range of matters and provide overall administrative support.
  • Liaise effectively with external legal counsel public relations officers and other stakeholders on corporate and case-related tasks facilitating smooth communication and collaboration.
  • Assist in legal project management by tracking deadlines monitoring progress and coordinating with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Manage the teams calendar and assist with setting up appointments
