We are seeking for a qualified and experienced Paralegal to the organization’s legal function by providing expert assistance in contract management, regulatory compliance, and legal documentation. The Paralegal will play a key role in mitigating legal risks, ensuring adherence to industry regulations, and supporting the company in matters related to construction projects, claims, and dispute resolution. This position is integral to maintaining the organization’s legal integrity and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage contract timelines, deliverables, and renewal periods to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Administer matters related to claims, litigation, arbitration, and regulatory inquiries.
• Drafting, review, and management of various construction-related agreements, including contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and confidentiality agreements.
• Conduct legal research and compile relevant documentation pertaining to construction law, zoning regulations, labor laws, and safety standards.
• Help ensure company adherence to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to construction activities.
• Maintain accurate records for licensing, permits, insurance certificates, and other compliance-related documentation.
• Maintain legal files, correspondence, and support documentation in both electronic and physical formats.
• Collaborate with internal departments, including project management, procurement, and finance, to facilitate the flow of legal information and documentation.
• Serve as a point of contact for external counsel and regulatory agencies as needed.
• Oversee document retention practices in accordance with company policy and legal requirement.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal certification from an accredited program preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within a construction or real estate legal environment.
• Solid understanding of construction contracts (e.g., AIA, FIDIC), lien laws, and industry-specific regulations.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
• Exceptional organizational abilities with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
