Job summary

Black Pearl Consult is seeking an Assistant Manager Packaging Innovation to join a dynamic food manufacturing business in Dubai. You will lead packaging development for new and existing food products, influencing quality, cost efficiency, and sustainability initiatives.

The role requires hands-on testing, material evaluation, and close collaboration with Production, QA, and Marketing to meet safety standards (HACCP, GMP) and regulatory requirements while driving value through optimized packaging.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in packaging development within FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with packaging materials testing and validation.
• Strong understanding of food safety and regulatory requirements.
• Experience collaborating with factory operations and product teams.
• Experience in cost reduction and packaging optimization is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of packaging solutions for new and existing food products.
• Evaluate and select packaging materials (flexible, rigid, etc.).
• Conduct testing related to shelf life, durability, and product compatibility.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards (e.g. HACCP GMP).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, QA, and Marketing.
• Identify opportunities to optimize packaging cost and improve efficiency.
• Support sustainability initiatives through innovative packaging approaches.
