Henkel GCC in Dubai, United Arab Emirates seeks an R&D Packaging Lab Technician to lead development of innovative packaging solutions. You will support cross-functional teams, apply CAD skills to create 2D/3D drawings, and ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include budgeting, sustainability initiatives, and staying current with new packaging technologies while engaging with consumers to translate feedback into impactful packaging improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with packaging materials: plastics, polymers, paper, sustainable options.
• Knowledge of lab testing standards and quality control procedures.
• Proficiency in CAD to develop 2D/3D drawings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Execute new packaging development projects, ensuring alignment with performance, quality, cost, and sustainability requirements.
• Define and manage project budgets to achieve planned objectives and deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with SHE standards, policies, and procedures.
• Drive packaging sustainability initiatives and circular economy targets.
• Support cross-functional teams in developing new packaging technologies and innovations.
• Ensure new packaging solutions comply with international recycling, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Stay up to date with emerging packaging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
• Engage with consumers to gather insights and translate feedback into packaging solutions.
