Job summary

A leading company in the engineering sector is seeking a Package Quality Engineer to oversee Quality Assurance activities for major onshore projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Quality Control, strong knowledge of construction and engineering processes, and the ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications

  • At least 15 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Control.
  • Good knowledge of construction works and engineering.
  • Fluent in English; French and/or Arabic are a plus.

Job description

We are looking for Package Quality Engineering Services for one of our clients with the following details :

Rotation : Resident

Qualifications And Experience Required

  • Qualification : Engineering degree, Diploma in Quality, Experience in Welding / NDT all phases of EPC. Degree : Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • Professional Experience : At least 15 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Control within a Major Onshore Project environment. COMPANY experience would be an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of construction works, infrastructures, engineering, installation, commissioning.
  • A flexible attitude with a willingness to take on other project activities as required by project management.
  • Knowledge and understanding of contract management.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural business environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Language: Fluent in English (speaking and writing); French and/or Arabic are a plus.
  • Recent working experience in Iraq is an added advantage.

Activities

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with the Project Management System documentation.
  • Maintain contractor/supplier quality requirements in accordance with the Contract.
  • Execute audit schedules, quality planning, and inputs to EPC Contractor Equipment Criticality Assessments.
  • Coordinate inspection activities and report writing.
  • Provide site support to the Quality team as needed.
  • Ensure all Contractor/Sub-Contractor inspection and test plans are created, communicated, followed, and periodically reviewed/approved.
  • Review and approve all Vendor/Sub-Vendor ITPs.
  • Attend Pre-Inspection Meetings as required.
  • Maintain inspection performance metrics effectively.
  • Review inspection and quality surveillance reports.
  • Coordinate with SMEs (Welding, NDE, Painting/Coating) Inspection Coordinators, Engineering, and other departments.
  • Manage QA/QC Superintendents functionally.
  • Be conversant with all EPC phase activities and equipment such as piping, pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, GTG, valves, etc.

Audit

  • Plan, conduct, and assist in compliance audits, self-audits, and inspections.
  • Participate in key customer quality reviews.
  • Ensure all regulatory compliance and standards are met.
  • Maintain comprehensive audit, response, and action matrices.
