We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Overseas Business Development Manager to drive growth and establish a strong market presence for our company within the Middle East region. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing strategic partnerships and client relationships across key sectors.

Location: Dubai, UAE

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  1. New Client Acquisition: Accountable for proactively identifying and developing new client relationships through diverse channels (online research, email outreach, phone calls, virtual meetings, and in-person visits). Effectively present our products/services and drive contract closures to achieve sales targets.
  2. Ecosystem Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships within the local business ecosystem to generate referrals and enhance client acquisition.
  3. Solution Selling & Proposal Management: Utilize in-depth knowledge of company products to analyze client pain points and needs. Develop and present compelling, bespoke solution proposals that address specific client challenges, leading to successful deal closure.
  4. Client Portfolio Management: Responsible for the strategic expansion and ongoing management of relationships with key target accounts. Analyze client requirements and industry trends to identify and pursue mutually beneficial project collaboration opportunities utilizing company resources.
  5. Market Intelligence: Monitor and report on market dynamics, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within the Middle East region.

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Education: Minimum Associate degree.
  2. Experience: Minimum 2 years of proven experience in Business Development, Sales, or a related commercial role, preferably within the Middle East market. Demonstrated ability in client prospecting and negotiation.
  3. Network & Local Knowledge: Established network and channel resources with local brands and mid-to-large offline retailers in the Middle East is highly advantageous. Proficiency in Arabic is a strong plus.
  4. Industry Background: Prior experience in one or more of the following sectors is highly desirable: Brand Management, Tourism (including guides, travel agencies, OTAs), Import/Export, Retail, Cross-border Financial Services/Payments.
  5. Digital & Marketing Acumen: Familiarity with the WeChat ecosystem (Official Account stores), and social media marketing platforms (e.g., Xiaohongshu, Douyin/TikTok) is preferred. Strong learning agility, strategic planning, logical thinking, and storytelling abilities are essential. Competency in content creation and visual communication is advantageous.
  6. Personal Attributes: Must be results-driven, proactive, optimistic, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation, and a collaborative team spirit are critical. Cross-cultural sensitivity and adaptability are essential for success in the Middle East market.
