Job description

Help AG is seeking a highly skilled OT Senior Security Engineer responsible for supporting, administering, and maintaining cybersecurity systems within the Operational Technology (OT) environment. This role involves securing OT and OT-IT integration infrastructure in line with cybersecurity policies, standards, and guidelines.

The position ensures the availability, integrity, and security of OT/ICS systems across critical infrastructure, focusing on three core areas:

  • Operate and Maintain (OM)
  • Protect and Defend (PR)
  • Securely Provision (SP)
Responsibilities
  • Support, administer, and maintain OT/ICS cybersecurity systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Manage asset inventory for OT cybersecurity resources and supported infrastructure.
  • Administer cyber defense tools and infrastructure, including installation, configuration, maintenance, backup, and restoration.
  • Manage accounts, network rights, and access controls for OT/ICS cybersecurity systems.
  • Adhere to cybersecurity metrics and KPIs specific to OT environments.
  • Maintain security baseline configurations per organizational policies.
  • Assist in applying security baselines on OT/ICS systems.
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate cybersecurity threats to OT systems and networks.
  • Utilize defense tools to monitor and respond to security events and prepare remedial action plans.
  • Implement security measures to address vulnerabilities and ensure operational continuity and safety.
  • Analyze network topologies to understand data flows and interfaces.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve security incidents and ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate data collection for cybersecurity monitoring from OT systems.
  • Monitor external sources for threat intelligence relevant to OT/ICS.
  • Apply signatures and Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) to defense tools in response to threats.
  • Support cybersecurity aspects of OT/ICS project lifecycle phases, including design and testing.
  • Ensure security requirements are integrated into system architecture.
  • Participate in designing security controls to ensure safety, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Lead the implementation and assessment of cybersecurity solutions for OT systems.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field.
  • 5-7 years in IT security, with at least 3 years specifically in OT/ICS security management.
  • Experience with industrial control systems, SCADA/DCS (Yokogawa preferred), and cybersecurity technologies.
  • Knowledge of industrial protocols and security measures for these protocols.
  • Certifications such as GICSP or ISA/IEC 62443 are mandatory.
  • Experience with Yokogawa and/or ABB DCS systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
