Job Description
Role Purpose
The purpose of the role is to create exceptional architectural solution design and thought leadership and enable delivery teams to provide exceptional client engagement and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
1. Develop architectural solutions for new deals and major change requests
- Create enterprise-wide architecture ensuring scalability, reliability, and manageability.
- Provide solutioning for RFPs received from clients and ensure design assurance.
- Manage a portfolio of solutions aligning with business outcomes.
- Analyze technology environment and client requirements to define solution frameworks.
- Provide technical leadership in design, development, and implementation of solutions.
- Define current state solutions and identify improvements for target state solutions.
- Articulate and document architectural targets, recommendations, and reusable patterns.
- Evaluate and recommend solutions for integration within the technology ecosystem.
- Collaborate with IT groups for transitions, performance, and issue resolution.
- Document architectural designs and solutions in detail.
- Validate solutions from technical, cost, and customer perspective.
- Identify problem areas, perform root cause analysis, and provide solutions.
- Coordinate with sales, project, and consulting teams to align solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and relate them to current and future IT needs.
2. Enable Delivery Teams
- Build relationships with stakeholders to act as a trusted advisor.
- Develop metrics (KPI/SLA) to drive results.
- Manage multiple projects and report on their status.
- Identify and mitigate risks in projects.
- Ensure quality assurance of architecture and design decisions.
- Recommend tools for automation and reuse.
- Develop and maintain enterprise frameworks and artifacts.
- Build effective working relationships across teams.
- Ensure architecture principles are applied consistently.
- Support pre-sales with solution presentations and negotiations.
3. Competency Building and Branding
- Complete necessary trainings and certifications.
- Develop POCs, case studies, and demos for growth areas.
- Publish white papers and blogs to showcase expertise.
- Achieve market recognition through rankings and testimonials.
- Represent Wipro in forums and conferences.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to practice development.
4. Team Management
- Resourcing: Anticipate talent needs and hire accordingly.
- Talent Management: Onboard, train, and develop team members.
- Performance Management: Set goals, conduct reviews, and provide feedback.
- Employee Engagement: Lead initiatives to improve team satisfaction.
