Job summary

Abroad Work in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Optometrist to join our team. You will perform eye examinations, diagnose conditions, and prescribe lenses or other treatments.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Optometry, is licensed, has at least two years’ experience, and can use advanced diagnostic equipment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Optometry from an accredited university.
• Licensed Optometrist with experience of at least two (2) years in a similar role.
• Ability to use advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of current legislation relating to the practice of optometry.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform eye examinations and assessments to determine the need for corrective lenses or visual training.
• Diagnose eye abnormalities and diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and age-related macular degeneration.
• Prescribe medications, eyeglasses, contact lenses, or other corrective measures as needed.
• Educate patients about vision care, contact lens hygiene, and other topics related to general health.
• Provide general patient advice on topics such as diet, exercise, and lifestyle habits.
