As an EssilorLuxottica Chalhoub Optometrist , you will work as part of a team delivering total satisfaction to our customers through conducting thorough eye examinations and aftercare. You’ll offer our customers recommendations to the highest professional and ethical standards. You will use your knowledge to effectively identify customer needs and recommend eyewear and eye care solutions accordingly.

In addition, you will act as an ambassador for RETAIL BANNER, ensuring every customer is welcomed into the store and their expectations are exceeded throughout the customer experience.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities :

As an Optometrist, you will work as part of a team delivering total satisfaction to our customers through conducting thorough eye examinations and aftercare. You’ll offer our customers recommendations to the highest professional and ethical standards. You will use your knowledge to effectively identify customer needs and recommend eyewear and eye care solutions accordingly. In addition, you will act as an ambassador for ELC, ensuring every customer is welcomed into the store and their expectations are exceeded throughout the customer experience.

You’ll perform various store functions including opening and closing, merchandising, and selling.

Knowledge & Skills required :

Knowledge required :

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience and possession of an optical diploma (Optometrist).
• HAAD Optical License.
• Written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proven experience as an Optometrist in a retail or optical setting.
• In-depth knowledge of vision correction, frame styling, lens types, and coatings.
• Proficiency in performing accurate measurements, including pupillary distance (PD).
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to establish rapport and build lasting relationships.

• Assist customers in choosing frames by offering help and advice.
• Passionate about the industry and brand.
• Flexible to work weekends and evenings.
• Deliver excellent customer service and demonstrate professionalism.
• Coach assistants to deliver effective selling behaviors resulting in high customer engagement.
• Examine eyes of patients of all ages in accordance with local guidelines.
• Issue prescriptions for spectacles or contact lenses (if qualified).
• Liaise with other medical practitioners.
• Meet sales targets for spectacles and contact lenses.
