Job summary

Middle East Optical is seeking an experienced Optical Technician to join our Abu Dhabi workshop. You will operate lens cutting and edging equipment, cut and fit lenses, measure powers, and adjust frames to ensure comfort and accuracy.

You will also perform repairs, maintain cleanliness, and collaborate with optometrists and the sales team to ensure timely, high-quality orders. A professional demeanor, honesty, and reliability are essential assets for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience as an Optical Technician and familiarity with eyewear manufacturing and repairs.
• Ability to enter lens/frame data accurately into electronic systems.
• Demonstrated professionalism, ethics and honest communication with customers and colleagues.
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to follow instructions in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and use the companys lens cutting and edging machines safely and correctly.
• Cut and fit optical lenses according to prescriptions and approved technical standards.
• Measure lens power and verify accuracy before and after fitting.
• Adjust frames to ensure proper fit alignment and customer comfort.
• Perform eyewear repairs including tightening adjustments welding and part replacement when required.
• Inspect finished work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation of cutting machines tools and workstations.
• Maintain daily cleanliness and organization of the workshop and storage areas.
• Accurately enter job orders and completed work into the companys electronic system.
• Work closely with optometrists and the sales team to ensure timely and high-quality order completion.
• Support the sales team in daily operations when needed including customer assistance and showroom organization.
• Comply with the companys Dress Code Policy discipline standards and professional appearance.
• Adhere to shift schedules including arriving 15 minutes early for the morning shift for preparation.
• Follow all company administrative policies and instructions.
