SearchPlus HR presents an opportunity for an experienced Specialist/Consultant Ophthalmologist with American Board certification to join a leading private hospital in the UAE. The role focuses on diagnosing and managing eye diseases, providing comprehensive ophthalmic care and performing relevant procedures according to clinical privileges.

The ideal candidate will have American Board certification in Ophthalmology, strong postgraduate training and experience in ophthalmology, plus eligibility

Qualifications

• American Board certification in Ophthalmology or equivalent.
• Postgraduate training and clinical experience in ophthalmology.
• Experience in diagnosis, treatment and surgical procedures relevant to ophthalmology.
• Valid professional registration and Good Standing Certificate, where applicable.
• Eligibility for UAE licensing through DHA/DOH/MOHAP, subject to authority assessment.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat eye diseases and vision disorders.
• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and interpret diagnostic investigations.
• Manage glaucoma, cataracts, retinal disorders and corneal diseases.
• Perform ophthalmic procedures and surgeries within clinical privileges.
• Develop treatment plans and provide preoperative and postoperative care.
• Monitor patient progress and collaborate with other healthcare specialists.
