Job summary

Talentspoc is seeking a Specialist Ophthalmologist for our Dubai healthcare facility to provide comprehensive eye care, including diagnosis, medical treatment, and surgical management as needed. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Required qualifications include MBBS or equivalent and postgraduate ophthalmology credentials with at least 3 years post-specialization experience.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• MS/MD/DNB/DO/FRCS/Arab Board or equivalent Ophthalmology qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of post-specialization clinical experience preferred.
• Strong experience in comprehensive ophthalmology.
• Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and patient-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive ophthalmic consultations and eye examinations.
• Diagnose and manage cataract, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, retinal and corneal diseases.
• Perform detailed anterior and posterior segment examinations.
• Assess visual acuity, intraocular pressure, visual fields, and related parameters.
• Interpret OCT, fundus imaging, visual fields, and corneal topography.
• Develop individualized medical and surgical treatment plans.
• Perform ophthalmic procedures and surgeries within scope of expertise.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care and monitor outcomes.
• Manage ophthalmic emergencies and acute eye conditions.
• Prescribe medications, corrective lenses, and other treatments.
• Identify ocular manifestations of systemic diseases and coordinate care.
• Counsel patients regarding treatment options, preventive eye care, and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure high standards of patient care.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, and continuing medical education.

Education
